Friday's Cookies is a Pacific Northwest-based business on the brink of becoming a national, if not international, success. In January of 2000, owner Deborah Tuggle quit her job in the legal field to concentrate on developing the best gourmet cookie on the market and anyone who tastes one of her cookies will tell you she has done it. Prior to focusing her energies entirely on her business, Deborah Tuggle baked once a week and sold cookies on Fridays to friends and students at the legal school she attended - hence the name, Friday's Cookies.
The local community has embraced Deborah and her cookies. Corporate clients such as Pepsi, Nike, and Safeco have placed orders and even the Bill Cosby Show staff has called. Visitors to the Tacoma museum district can also enjoy Friday's Cookies signature cookies while in the Museum of Glass and the Tacoma Art Museum.. With two store locations in the Tacoma, WA and the ability to ship cookies anywhere, business is taking off and cookie lovers can't stay away.
The three signature cookies are what people are wild about. Friday's Original is a white chocolate, chocolate chip and pecan wonder that melts in your mouth. The Olympic is an oatmeal cookie like no other. It's drizzled with white chocolate and full of dried cranberries and pieces of sweet coconut. Finally, the Rainier is an absolutely delightful mix of oatmeal and white chocolate with the surprise of wild blueberries. It's hard to choose between the three and maybe that's why customers keep coming back. People know that Friday's Cookies are gourmet cookies - perfect for gifts, parties and every day enjoyment.
